The oaty science

We don’t want to bamboozle you with long words and science, but we know that when your little one is experiencing dry and itchy skin you want to know what’s inside our bottles.

OatDerma™ is the result of two years of development, harnessing the natural power of oats. The skin nourishing blend of two-star ingredients will help leave sensitive skin feeling soothed and hydrated.

Colloidal oatmeal is rich in beta-glucan and avenanthramides which are clinically proven to help soothe and gently nourish the natural balance of delicate skin.

Now on to the oat oil, this ceramide rich ingredient helps the skin to absorb and retain moisture. Dry skin can often be lacking in natural skin ceramides, so the oat oil is perfect for sensitive skin.

So, you ask, what are these long words and what do they do…

Beta-glucan: a sugar which binds water into the skin, making it an even more effective moisturiser

Avenanthramides: are antioxidants that exist exclusively in oats which reduce irritation and redness on skin

Lipids and oils: form a protective barrier on the skin to keep out external elements and maintain skin hydration

Ceramide rich oat oil - Ceramides are a major component of skin lipids. Oat oil acts as an occlusive and a humectant, absorbing and retaining moisture in the skin.

To put it simply, all our products are lovingly made using natural and naturally derived ingredients to gently soothe and moisturise the delicate skin of newborns, babies, and children.

While looking after the delicate skin of babies and children out there, we want to make sure that we’re caring for our planet too.

Each of our bottles (excluding the cap and label) are made from prevented ocean plastic and both the bottle and cap are fully recyclable. Our gentle bubble bath as also been given the seal of approval from The Vegan Society and is approved as cruelty free through the Leaping Bunny Programme.

Our oats are t-oat-ally sustainable too. The colloidal oatmeal we use is sustainably sourced in Finland. Why? Because the harsh growing conditions create oats with the highest level of the skin moisturising ingredient Beta Glucan.
