General product information

Is Childs Farm suitable for newborn babies?

The majority of Childs Farm products are suitable for newborns and upwards. We have a specific baby range that is developed specifically to look after the delicate skin of babies and their needs.

With the exception of the below, our other products are suitable for use on newborns too:

  • Suncare Range is suitable from 6 months plus
  • Sleep Mist is also suitable from 6 months plus

Can I use Childs Farm if I’m pregnant?

Absolutely, all Childs Farm products are safe for pregnant women to use.

All of our products undergo rigorous safety testing and review and if there was any concern around using one of our products during pregnancy, we would be required to include a warning on our labelling detailing this. This is not the case for any of our products, so please enjoy.

Can I use Childs Farm as an adult?

Yes you can! While our products are specifically developed to look after the developing needs of babies and children's skin, this means we use gentle and mild ingredients which we know lots of adults with sensitive skin look for too.

Is Childs Farm cruelty free?

We're extremely proud to be to be a cruelty-free brand. All of our cosmetic and personal care products are approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny Programme, the internationally recognisable gold standard for cruelty free products. We proactively monitor our suppliers to ensure that our products continue to adhere to Leaping Bunny criteria. Our supplier monitoring system is also independently audited.

How do I patch test?

All our products are formulated to be safe and extremely gentle. However, as a common-sense precaution, we recommend a patch test be carried out at least 24 hours prior to first use. Two of the best places to test are inside the upper arm and behind the ear. Dab a small amount of product into one of these areas and after 24hrs check back to see if any irritation has occurred. Don’t patch test on skin that is already irritated, as this won’t give an accurate reading.

What is Clinical Testing?

As parents ourselves, we want to be sure that the claims we make on our packaging can be 100% trusted. At Childs Farm we go the extra mile to give the reassurance that parents/caregivers are looking for when it comes to caring for children’s skin. All our products undergo extensive clinical testing and controlled user trials above and beyond EU guidelines and regulations for the cosmetics and toiletries industry.
